Elise Stefanik praises end of shutdown

U.S. Rep. Elise M. Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, voted on five bills in roll call votes this week.

On Friday, President Donald J. Trump also announced a short-term solution to the government shutdown, a move praised by Ms. Stefanik in a statement.

“This government shutdown was unnecessary and inexcusable,” she wrote. “I will continue to be a strong voice — with a voting record to back it up — to fund our federal agencies. Now, I urge my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to make a deal to address the need for border security.”

The following votes only include roll call votes, as other kinds of votes — like voice votes — are not recorded. Procedural votes are not included.

Ms. Stefanik voted to suspend the rules and pass the NATO Support Act. It passed, 357-22.

She voted to suspend the rules and pass the Hack Your State Department Act. It passed, 377-3.

She voted for a bill making further continuing appropriations for fiscal year 2019, and for other purposes. It passed, 229-184.

She voted for the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2019. It passed, 234-180.

She voted for making further continuing appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security for fiscal year 2019 and for other purposes. It passed, 231-180.
